About Me

Hello, my name is Thomas Varelas and I was born in the city of Thessaloniki in 18/06 of 1993. I studied Computer Science in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and had a Bachelor's thesis on Big Data Analysis. Currently, I am doing Master's in the field of Web and Internet in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I am very interested in programming and development of nearly any kind of software, but i'm specialize in web, mobile application and game development. Now that I introduced myself with all the proper titles, I would like to reveal to you a more human aspect of me.

First of all, I am not a fanatic gamer as you might expected! At least not like the gamer you imagine. Paradox right? A game developer who doesn't play games? Truth is i like playing some particular games but i find it more funny and exciting to create my own games. It's far more important for me to create a brand new level or a map and share it with the world.

On the other side, when not programming and devouring pizza, I like to hit the gym (i know this looks weird. Pizza lovers don't like gym.) or enjoy a drink with friends in the local bar. One more thing i'm crazy about, is that little road trip on a short distance destination, on a sunday morning, with birds singing around and a blue sky... Yes, i made it sound much more romantic than it is just to convince you to join me.

But, let's be honest. You are not here to read about road trips and love for pizza. You are here because you need something from me. And if my skills or my previous work experience meet your expectations you can contact me via an email or via the form on the bottom of this page.

Griffin Gaming Studios was created from the friendship of two mediocre looking guys, Thomas (Cásseres) and George (Nitroplex), determined to find a future in the game industry. Brought together by life and karma, they found themselves following the same philosophy of "Unique storytelling". Although they seem foolish enough, people got interested in their plans and were drawn to them. People like Evangelos (Gluxable), who came a year later adding his efforts in the team. Now the three of them have rearanged their goals and they are ready for the future. And this future starts today with a small simple sentence. We need to create unique games that immerse the player into vivid new worlds. And also have some fun!
